Celebrated global leader in kitchen and bathroom design, Kohler, recently celebrated their partnership with Manchester United football club with a screening of the Premier League match between Manchester United and Chelsea at their Johannesburg showroom.
Johannesburg, 23 October 2018 – KOHLER Africa’s Commercial Director Ronelle Badenhorst and her team hosted a special screening of the English Premier League’s match between Manchester United and Chelsea televised on Saturday 20 October 2018.
This event was hosted at their state-of-the-art Johannesburg showroom with KOHLER’s customers, members of the architecture and interior design trade, various partners, media and local Manchester United fan club representatives as guests. With over 45 guests – that included a good mix of club fans - in attendance, spirits were high despite the odd summer shower, with platters of food, beers, gin and more to maintain the energetic momentum of the day.
The day also included a guided tour of the KOHLER showroom as well as a half-time quiz hosted by KOHLER Africa’s Marketing Manager Nagadarsan Suresh, featuring KOHLER’s new ultra-thin rain showers given away as prizes! All guests who attended were also gifted 2018/19 Manchester United jerseys.
Whilst KOHLER kept the hospitality fluid, guests watched the drama unfold off-the-pitch amongst coaches and managers of both teams, whilst on the pitch Chelsea’s late equalizer left Manchester United fans disappointed but the two-all draw was certainly better than a defeat. This was an atmospheric, nail-biting event for the KOHLER team and their guests.
This was a significant match for Manchester United especially since the recent announcement of KOHLER’s sponsorship as first sleeve partner for both the men’s and women’s teams. Fans are certainly thrilled by the KOHLER brand logo featuring on the sleeve of the most iconic and best-selling club shirt.
With the club’s shirt embodying the passion of their fans and their allegiance to the club, it is evident that KOHLER, as partner, brings the same passion and commitment they have towards design and innovation, to this alignment as well.
